Over 190 students graduate from Kanyinya Vocational Institute & Driving school

Over one hundred and ninety students celebrated their graduation yesterday at Kanyinya Vocational Institute and Driving School. The event marked a significant milestone for the institution, hosting its sixth graduation ceremony.

The academic registrar, Tumureebire Rodgers, announced that graduands were from both technical and business courses. Among them, 30 received diplomas, while 150 were awarded certificates.

The academic Registrar encouraged the graduates to remain loyal and respectful to their future employers.

Obadiah Turyamwijuuka, the director of Kanyinya, expressed gratitude to the parents for choosing the institute for their children’s education. He shared the school’s humble beginnings in 2004 with just four students, to over 300 now.

Turyamwijuka promised excellent education that will increase more job creators than seekers.

Graduates, including Tumukunde Andrew, Kyanshemeza Pretty, and Atwijukire Barbra, expressed their heartfelt thanks to God and their parents for supporting their education.

The guest of honor, Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa, the Member of Parliament for Rukungiri Municipality, praised the director and the board for establishing Kanyinya Institute, which has enabled many to acquire valuable skills. Rutahigwa also acknowledged the efforts of parents in supporting their children’s education.

Dr. Rutahigwa advised the graduates to always respect their parents, acknowledging their crucial role in their success.
