Ministry of Health moves to use locally made medical vitals

NEWS- The minister for Health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng has directed all health sector agencies to procure locally manufactured medical vitals In a bid to promote buy Uganda build Uganda.

Speaking during a guided tour of East African Medical Vitals (EAMV), a manufacturing plant of the only surgical gloves factory in Africa and the only glove manufacturing plant in East and Central Africa, Aceng noted buying health products will enable the economy to flourish in terms of foreign exchange.

She noted that with such plants in the country the health sector can be sure all the vital supplies in the health systems are catered for hence stopping the purchase of such items from abroad.

This is also inline with the government’s innitiative of Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU).
