The Rukungiri district NRM chairperson also the flag bearer for Rujumbura Constituency Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi has urged people to vote overwhelmingly for President Museveni in the upcoming 2026 general elections, citing Country’s peace and development under his leadership.
Hon. Jim made the revelation yesterday while speaking as the chief guest during the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund (BAAF) for Christ the King Church Rukungiri in Rukungiri Municipality.
The purpose of this year’s BAAF was meant to raise 500M shillings to construct Priests’ house in the first phase.
Addressing Christians, Minister Jim Muhwezi called on the people of Rukungiri district to support President Museveni overwhelmingly for the continuity of development.
Hon. Jim Muhwezi emphasized that the NRM government continues to support Rukungiri through infrastructure, education, and electrification projects, while encouraging citizens to take personal initiative in wealth creation.

Preaching during the mass, Rev. Fr. Innocent Buregyeya Young who represented Kabale Diocesan Bishop Callistus Rubaramira encouraged Christians to work for their position in Heaven in doing good work while still on earth.
