In a remarkable display of community spirit, Rev. Kemigisha Annita Kwesiga received an overwhelming show of support during a fundraising event held at Mama Janet Museveni Secondary School in Nyakyeera Parish, Ntungamo District. The thanksgiving celebration, attended by Christians from across the South Ankole Diocese and neighboring regions, successfully raised over 7 million shillings to assist Rev. Annita in acquiring a transport vehicle for her ministry.

The event attracted a diverse audience, including district government leaders and congregation members from various churches such as Rwenkoora COU and Rwenanuura COU. Archdeacon Gumisiriza Fred of Nyakyeera Archdeaconary delivered an inspiring sermon, emphasizing the necessity of hard work and perseverance in faith. He encouraged the attendees to remain hopeful, reminding them that “there is a time for harvesting” if they continue to do good.

Gumisiriza highlighted the importance of leaders making a tangible impact in their communities, urging them to leave a legacy that would be remembered fondly. He stated that those who serve without making a difference should reflect on their contributions and strive to work for the betterment of others. His message resonated with many, inspiring a commitment to service among the congregation.

Parents and community members expressed their admiration for Rev. Annita’s dedication to her pastoral duties. Many attendees noted that her kindness and unwavering support have significantly impacted their lives, prompting them to rally together to reward her with a vehicle. This collective effort underscores the strong bond between the church and its congregation.

Kamuntu Abert, the headteacher of the host school, spoke about the importance of nurturing relationships between educational institutions and the surrounding community. He expressed his hope that such events would foster collaboration, emphasizing that schools thrive best in a supportive environment. Abert also urged parents to maintain peace at home, especially as students prepare for critical examinations.

Rev. Annita, visibly moved by the outpouring of support, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the congregation. “This is a testament to the power of community and faith,” she said. Reflecting on Galatians 6:6, she reminded everyone that good deeds eventually lead to rewards, and this event marked a significant moment of reaping the fruits of her labor.

As the community came together to celebrate Rev. Annita’s contributions, the event served not only as a fundraiser but as a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity and collective support.
