Police in kisoro are investigating circumstances that led to the death of a 20 years old man.
Hafasha Stephen , was lyched by a mob for allegedly stealing sheep .he was a peasant and a resident of Matarama village Gisozi parish Muramba subcounty in Kisoro district.
According to a report filed to police by Bavakure John 50 years, a peasant and a resident of the same area the incident happened yesterday Thursday 01/06/2023 at around 6:00pm,
It’s alleged that, the deceased was seen with a suspected stolen sheep in Makurizo village in Bunagana Town council,this prompted angry mob suspecting that he had stolen the sheep attacking and beating him to death.
Kigezi region police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate said after the heinous act the mob carried the body to his father’s home in Mutarama village, Gisozi Parish, Muramba subcounty and abondoned it on their compound and ran away.

Body was retrieved and taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary for Postmortem.
