Aspiring Member of Parliament Hon. Andrew Kikira Ankunda has pledged to foster unity and development in Rukungiri Municipality if elected.
Kikira’s commitment was made clear during a rally yesterday, following his nomination in Kampala to contest in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries set for July 16.
The rally concluded at Heritage Country Club in Rwakebengo Ward, Southern Division, where Ankunda articulated his vision for the municipality.
He emphasized the need to improve healthcare services by lobbying for a district referral hospital and a university to reduce travel distances for residents seeking these critical services.
