The Minister for Security also the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament Hon. Maj. Gen. (RTD) Jim Katugugu Muhwezi has commended Kabale Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Callistus Rubaramira for spreading the gospel of economic growth and national development.
Minister Jim Muhwezi said Bishop Callistus is doing a commendable job in helping the government to transform the lives of the grassroots people through promoting socio-economic transformation campaigns.
He was speaking on Saturday 15th November 2025 during the Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund (BAAF) for Rwengyiri Parish in Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district with the purpose of purchasing Parish’s vehicle.
Minister Jim Muhwezi also underscored the power of PDM in transforming the lives of people who have so far utilized the money properly, arguing that to live a good life; everyone needs to have some productive work where they can generate money for development.
He also encouraged the faithful congregants to have a giving heart especially when it comes to supporting church activities.
Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Tumwijukye, parish priest Rwengyiri commended Minister Jim Muhwezi for his tremendous contribution and support towards the development of the Parish.
