The Right Rev. Bishop Onesmus Asiimwe of the North Kigezi Diocese has called on Christians to engage in actions that foster personal and spiritual growth. His remarks came during the installation ceremony of the new Diocesan Dean, the Very Rev. Dickens Baguma, held at Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano.
Bishop Asiimwe praised Rev. Baguma for his exemplary service in Nyakishoroza Archdeaconry in Nyakishenyi sub county where he was serving, affirming that this dedication warranted his promotion to Dean. He urged the new Dean to embody trustworthiness and love, qualities that will inspire the community to place their faith in him and receive blessings from God.
In his preaching, the Bishop urged Christians to avoid hypocrisy, cautioning that many who present themselves as righteous often engage in sinful behaviors such as adultery and dishonesty. He emphasized that such actions are unacceptable in the eyes of God.

Mr. Abel Turyaabe, head of laity at Emmanuel Cathedral kinyasano, welcomed Rev. Baguma with enthusiasm, encouraging him to feel at home and uphold integrity in his leadership. He expressed gratitude to Bishop Asiimwe for the strides made in developing the Diocese, particularly in enhancing educational institutions like Makoobore High School, kinyasano Boarding primary school and Kinyasano Girls High School. Turyaabe also urged the Bishop to extend this commitment to other diocesan schools for quality improvement.

In his first address as Dean, Rev. Dickens Baguma expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm reception from the Kinyasano community and acknowledged the support from the Nyakishoriza congregants who has accompanied him. Rev. Baguma promised to work tirelessly for the betterment of the North Kigezi Diocese and stressed the importance of teamwork in achieving their collective goals of unity and peace.

Mr. Emmy Ngabirano, the Resident District Commissioner for Bushenyi District and ob of Rev Dickens Baguma at Makoobore High School, commended Bishop Asiimwe for his efforts in constructing the Emmanuel Cathedral. He congratulated Rev. Baguma on his promotion and expressed pride in witnessing members of his generation serving the community.
Ngabirano also thanked the Bishop for his prayers during the recent elections, urging the public to resume their everyday lives as the political season concludes.
