Aspiring member of Parliament for Rubabo County, Hon Amumpiire Alban Rukundo, has been officially nominated to contest for the parliamentary seat. The nomination took place today at the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) offices in Katonga, with Mr. Kabaziguuruka Michael, chairperson of the PFF Electoral Commission, presiding over the event.
Speaking to journalists after his nomination, Mr. Alban expressed his commitment to fostering unity and development in Rubabo. He reassured residents that, unlike some leaders who promote division, he aims to be a leader for all—regardless of religion or background.
Mr. Alban highlighted key priorities for his campaign, including improving access to clean water and constructing better roads for the community. He emphasized his intention to engage closely with constituents, promising to hold regular meetings to discuss their challenges and collaboratively seek solutions.
“As I begin this journey, I am reaching out to gather support from my team and the party,” he stated. “I urge the people of Rubabo to give me a chance to demonstrate my capability and dedication.”
He announced that he would soon launch his campaign and invited members from all political parties to join him in transforming Rubabo for the better.
Mr. Alban will first compete against the incumbent, Hon Namanya Naboth, for the PFF flag bearer position before facing candidates from other political parties.
