The Forum for Democratic Change party vice President for Buganda, Yusuf Nsibambi, has formally joined the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

‎During a meeting with NRM officials at the party headquarters on Wednesday in Kampala, Nsibambi castigated the opposition parties, accusing them of misleading the youth and lack of direction.

He was received by the Speaker of parliament Anita Annet Amongi and the NRM secretary general Richard Twodong.

“I have brought Hon Nsibambi to join NRM. Today, today February 18th he has joined NRM. He believes and has said he had known what NRM had done and that since joining parliament he has seen it and believes wants to be in team that delivers for this country,” Among said.

“As a party we have got a knowledgeable and resourceful person in Nsibambi.”

Nsabambi, who was clad in yellow, said he is ready to serve the party.

“I am ready to join the struggle for peace. I am ready to be given any task to serve our people,” Nsibambi said.

Nsibambi recently led a number of fellow opposition MPs to meet Museveni last week, a development that stirred questions.
