Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Steven Nsubuga Bewayo has encouraged students to remain focused on their dream careers while fostering a deep love for their country, despite the challenges they may face.

Speaking at the Sports Day of Immaculate Heart Girls Secondary School in Nyakibale, where he officiated for 1,118 patriot students, Bewayo emphasized that Uganda is not just the “Pearl of Africa,” but the “Pearl of the World.

He urged the students to aspire to their career goals with determination and passion.

Bewayo also warned against behaviors that could derail their futures, such as alcoholism, early pregnancies, and prostitution, highlighting that patriotism serves as a strong foundation for development.

“Patriotism is essential for building strong homes, admirable communities, and respectable nations,” he stated.

Sister Tumusiime Sabiina, headmistress of Immaculate Heart Girls School Nyakibale, expressed the school’s commitment to supporting government initiatives.

Tumusiime noted the positive influence of the patriotism club, which has improved discipline among students and reduced misconduct.
