NEWS- The Uganda Bureau of statistics UBOS is set to release final results of the 2024 National Population and Housing census.
According to Chris N. Mukiza, the UBOS executive director the bureau is to release the final results at Serena Hotel Kampala today 3rd October 2024 as they are ready.
Mukiza revealed that the Census results to be released will highlight Literacy rates, school attendance and education attainment, Health indicators, Employment and unemployment concerns, Religious affiliation and marriage trends among other things.
The release of results will be broadcast on radios, local television stations and social media platforms.
The 2024 National Population and Housing census was conducted from 9th to 19th May 2024 across all parts of the country.
The preliminary results released by Uganda Bureau of statistics indicated the total population of 45.9 million people in Uganda.
