NEWS– Two primary school pupils have been tragically lost their lives and 5 critically injured in a motor accident.
According to SP Michael Kananura the Public Relations Officer Directorate of traffic and road safety a fatal crash occurred on 24th November 2024, at around 09:30 am in Kabulengwa village, Nansana.
The incident involved a vehicle, Isuzu Elf UBA 104G loaded with plastic chairs which lost control while climbing a hilly murram road.
The vehicle moved backward ramming into pupils of Golden Primary School who were moving in the opposite direction instantly killing two and leaving five injured
SP Kananura stressed that the victims were rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wakiso for medical attention while the deceased were taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
He added that the vehicle involved has been towed to Lubigi Police Station for further investigation.
The Directorate of Traffic and road safety urged drivers to regularly check their vehicle’s brakes, tires & other essential systems to prevent mechanical failures.
