NEWS– Starting today 26th November 2024 at 6:00 am, there has been a traffic diversion at the Mabira section along the Kampala-Jinja highway aiming at facilitating road works along this section.
This development has been confirmed by SP Michael Kananura the Public Relations Officer Directorate of Traffic and Road safety stressing that all Heavy Trucks Will be diverted at Nile Bridge towards Nyenga-Kisoga up to Wantoni in Mukono.
SP Kananura noted that the Kampala to Jinja Motorists will be diverted at Wantoni in Mukono to Kisoga through Nyenga to Jinja.
Police along with a team from UNRA will be present to guide traffic movement and ensure the smooth execution of the road works.
He appealed to all motorists to adhere to traffic officers’ directives, exercise utmost discipline and patience during the road works.
