NEWS– Security is all set at Namboole Stadium for today’s highly-anticipated match between Uganda Cranes and South Africa in the AFCON qualifiers.
According to SSP Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, the deployment of security personnel has been completed to ensure a safe and secure environment for all attendees.
Onyango noted that all personnel have been thoroughly briefed to ensure seamless coordination and control of access points.
The police spokesperson noted that fans will be required to approach gates in organized lines with thorough searching conducted to prevent any security breaches.
He said that the security personnel will maintain a strong presence on all roads leading to Namboole Stadium to prevent any potential disruptions.
“Fortunately, the situation remains normal and calm, setting the stage for an exciting match”, he added.
