NEWS- The Rukungiri district commercial officer Caroline Atuheire condemned rampant domestic violence cases she blames for under development among many families in Kigezisub region.
Atuhaire made the remarks on Saturday during the 11thBuyawo annual general meeting held at Buyanja town council headquarters in Rubabo constituency, Rukungiri district.
The commercial officer noted that many families have broken down due to poverty and failure by the household heads to honour the basic needs.

Atuhaire also challenged the members to always use borrowed money purposefully rather than luxurious spending that would make it impossible for them to repay.
MackleanSabaiti, the Buyawo Sacco BOD chairperson hailed members for the spirit exhibited in ensuring a profit of 16million shillings compared to previous years.
Mrs. Sabiti pointed out that initially, Buyawo sacco was only for women but later restructured to allow men. She thus urged women to mobilize their husbands to join them to enhance development within their families.

Hosea Oreeba, the Buyawo Sacco manager highlighted that despite several challenges they are facing including dormant accounts, the sacco is progressing and urged shareholders to revive their accounts given the advantages therein.
