RUKUNGIRI- Venerable Dickson Kakanyisa, the archdeacon of Rujumbura Archdeaconry has asked Christians of Kyatoko parish to cooperate and utilize their new priest Rev Edison Ampeire in ensuring continued preaching of the gospel.
Kakanyisa made the remarks yesterday as Christians gathered to officially welcome Ampeire from the Diocesan Mission’s department to serve in this new role as a parish priest at Kyatoko parish under Rujumbura archdeaconry.
The archdeacon urged Christians to rally behind him and actively contribute towards the growth and development of the Church under his guidance.

Rev Ampaire replaces Rev Fred Tumwesigye who was transferred to Kibizi Church of Uganda. Counsel Isaac Atukunda the General Secretary of North Kigezi Diocesan Kampala fellowship narrated that they are ready and promised their commitment to work with Rev Edison Ampaire in spreading evangelism and development of their parish.

The Kyatoko Church of Uganda Head of laity Gershom Tumwesigye requested Rev Edison to start his Ministry with the youth that are being taken away by worldly pleasures by encouraging them to come back to church.
Rev Edison Ampeire pledged allegiance to work with everyone in ensuring God’s word is spread given the experience he had got from the 5 years he had served in missions department.
