NEWS– The police have recovered a machine gun , magazine with 29 rounds of ammunition after security tip off
Rusoke Kituuma the police spokesperson said that on 26th October 2024 at around 5:00 pm in Pereje Cell, Pereje Ward, Apokor Town Council within Tororo District, police received a tip-off regarding a firearm located under the bed of Emodo Vincent.
According to Rusoke Kituuma, the police spokesperson revealed that the information was provided by Josephine Nyapendi who claimed that she had become possessed by holy spirits prompting her to disclose the presence of the gun to Onyapidi Alfonse who was conducting prayers at the time.
Police recovered an SMG rifle with a bullet already chambered and further search of Emodo Vincent’s residence yielded one magazine containing 29 rounds of ammunition.
At the time the weapon was found, Kituuma said Emodo Vincent had fled to avoid arrest but police successfully apprehended and arrested him on 27th October 2024.
