The chairperson LC5 Ntungamo district Mucunguzi Samuel Rwakigoba salongo says that the district has already disbursed PDM funds across the district to all beneficiaries.
According to Mucunguzi there’s still need to monitor the performance of the government program. He adds the district has done its part to disburse the money despite the delays in Ruhama east constituency.
Speaking with our reporter, Mucunguzi Samuel says the district parish development model team has performed better to quickly distribute PDM funds at greater percentages.
He highligted that the district PDM disbursement stands at 90% in Kajara County, 97% in Rushenyi County, In Ruhama County at 70%and they have fully disbursed funds in municipality.
He notes that the district has already held parish barazas together with the first lady Hon Janet Museveni to sensitize citizens on the government program and witness the performance of PDM in the district.
Meanwhile the vice chairperson for Ntungamo district local government who also serves as the district youth councilor for Nyamunuka town council, Asuman kigongo says Ntungamo district has already received 13billion.
Kigongo says 9billion has been disbursed to all parishes across the district. He adds the district still needs to sensitize citizens about the importance of PDM and how they can use the money to develop themselves.
According to Arnold Ayebaziibwe the head of agriculture Ntungamo district who also serves as a supervisor of Parish development model says beneficiaries are developing themselves out of this program and adds that the district agriculture department will perform its role to help the beneficiaries who will invest the funds in agriculture and animal husbandry.
However, mucunguzi Samuel says the district with the help of RDC have done what it takes to recover money and discipline the culprits who embezzled Pdm funds.
