Muslim Community urged to embrace education in fight against terrorism

MASAKA– The Muslim community in Uganda has been urged to embrace education as one way of fighting against terrorism.

This message was sounded by the Director Counter Terrorism Uganda Police AIGP Waswa David during an engagement  meeting conducted at Ibadulrahman Mosque in Masaka City.

AIGP Waiswa who was in company of Amir Umah Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga of Jumiat Dawa Al Salafiya at Nakasero and other Muslim leaders urged Muslims to prioritize education their children.

The engagement drew women from Masaka, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo and Kalungu under the theme “Islam is Not Terrorism”

The engagement aimed at countering radicalization, preventing extremist recruitment disguised as religion, and challenge misconceptions linking Islam.
