Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of Mujukye Innocent male aged 20 years old, a munyankole by tribe, peasant Resident of Rwamarengye cell, Rwamugoma Parish, Ruhinda sub county in Rukungiri District.
The incident was reported by Mujurizi Kanyamukwara the, chairperson LC 2 Rwamugoma parish, Resident of Kashenyi cell, Rwamugoma parish, Ruhinda sub county in Rukungiri District.
According to police statement ,It’s alleged that on the 28/11/2023 at around 08;00am at Kirundo cell , Rwamugoma Parish Ruhinda sub county in Rukungiri District, the pupils who were going to school saw a dead body lying in a tree plantation of Mr. Mparangana at kirundo village. Pupils informed chairperson LC 1 of the area a one Katwiremu Alphonse who also informed the chairperson LC 2 Mujurizi Kanyamukwara Who later reported the incident at Ruhinda police station.
A case of murder by mob was registered at Ruhinda police station VIDE SD REF: 04/28/11/2023Crime scene was visited examined and documented by the D/soco, D/CIO, D/CIDO and a team of detectives from homicide. Maate adds that no suspect has been arrested so far.Body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health center III mortuary pending postmortem.
