Minister Muhwezi supports face-lifting of Omurusheeshe Primary School with 50 bags of Cement

RUKUNGIRI- In a demonstration of his commitment to supporting education and community development, Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi the Minister of security who is also the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament has donated 50 bags of cement to Omurusheshe Primary school in Buhunga Sub County Rukungiri district.

The contribution was handed over to school authorities by Minister Jim Muhwezi’s political assistant Isaac Kaharuza during the ceremony attended by elder Silver Rukarama, Rukungiri district vice chairperson Mrs. Nahwera Santrinah, LC3 chairperson Buhunga Sub County Mugisha Benon, LC5 Councillor Kyarisima Benon, area Councillors, parents among others.

Kaharuza confirmed that the donation is aimed at supporting the rehabilitation and enhancement of educational facilities at Omurusheshe Primary School which is a government aided school, founded by the church of Uganda.

According to Musinguzi Emmanuel Kirakurate the school head teacher, their facilities have been in dire need of refurbishment to allow for a better learning environment. Kirakurate thanked Minister Jim Muhwezi for the great support which will relieve them from the aforementioned burden.

Delivering Minister Muhwezi’s message, Isaac Kaharuza said that, as leaders, they have done what is right and urged the school administration to use the contribution for its intended use, as this will enable them to get more.

Minister Jim Muhwezi added that the NRM government under the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is committed to supporting causes that uplift communities in all aspects of life urging them to be conscious while electing leaders as time comes.

The Rukungiri District vice chairperson, Nahwera Santrinah, stressed that Minister Muhwezi has so far played a commendable part in Buhunga as a Sub-County, asking pupils to convey this message to their parents and encourage them to support Hon. Jim in the general elections scheduled for 2026. Benon Mugisha commonly known as “Aunt” requested pupils to desist from absenteeism and always report parents who normally force them to remain home during school time.

According to Mugisha, there is no reason why Buhunga locals shouldn’t support Minister Jim Muhwezi in the next general elections, as they have gained more from his leadership.
