RUKUNGIRI- Thousands of Christians yesterday gathered at Rwengiri Catholic Parish in Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district to celebrate the 50 dedicated years of Priestly services of Rev. Fr. Narasisio Begumisa.
Speaking during the function, Rev Fr. Jeremiah Tumwijukye, the Rwengiri Parish Priest praised Fr. Begumisa for his spirit of generosity and care for others, sharing with them the little he has. Fr. Jeremiah also appreciated Fr. Begumisa for the spirit of hard work and executing his priestly duties.

Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi the Minister for Security who is also the Rujumbura County Member of Parliament who was the day’s chief guest praised Fr. Begumisa for leading God’s flock and contributing to their prosperity.
Hon. Jim Muhwezi used the same occasion to warn men against selling family property especially land without the consent of their wives, noting that the buyers of such risk losing money and property.
Minister Jim Muhwezi tipped Women to always report any illegal deals their husbands may be involved in to the authorities for action. However, Muhwezi congratulated Fr. Begumisa with 5 million shillings on his 50 years of priesthood.

In his speech, Fr. Begumisa Narasisio thanked God for the gift of life and the ministerial priesthood that he has executed for 50 years. Fr. Begumisa thanked Rev. Fr. Jeremiah for the great work done during the mobilization for the function to take place.

Hailing from Kisizi in Nyarushanje Sub County Rukungiri district, Rev. Fr. Begumisa Narasisio served in different parishes of Kabale Diocese including Nyakibale, Omurubanda, Rushoroza, Buhaara, Kakore, Makiro, Kambuga, Rwamagaya, Rutooma and Rwamagaya.
