Men urged to take on leadership roles in Church

201

St. John’s Church of Uganda in Rwenanuura Parish yesterday marked St. Peter’s Day with a vibrant celebration led by the Father’s Union of South Ankole Diocese.

This annual event honors St. Peter, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, known for his unwavering faith and leadership, often referred to as the “Rock” of the Christian faith.

Rev. Johnson Mupenzi, the parish priest, delivered an inspiring message urging Christians to embrace contentment and make thoughtful choices, particularly during election season. He cautioned against supporting candidates driven solely by financial motives and emphasized the blessing of knowing Jesus.

Rev. Mupenzi encouraged the congregation to reflect this knowledge in their daily lives, behaviors, and attire.

The priest called on men to accept shared leadership roles with their spouses, fostering a spirit of collaboration in marriages urging attendees to emulate St. Peter’s faith and dedication in their lives.
