NEWS- The Police in Kasese’s Hima Division are currently investigating a case of death by drowning of a one Bwambale Paul, 18 year old herds man, Resident of Ruhita Village, Hima Parish, Kitswamba Sub-county in Hima.
It is alleged that the deceased while grazing goats at approximately 7:30pm, one of the goats escaped and went to the community valley Dam to drink water and it got drowned therein. In the process of rescuing it, the deceased also drowned.
Hima Police Division Commander SP Suzan Nerima Bwire and her team responded swiftly to the scene but because it was at Night, the operation wasn’t successful. The following morning, the operation entered Day II with the help of the locals to have the body retrieved.
Relatedly, the Territorial Police at Hima Division on Monday registered a serious Road Collision involving a Motorcycle Reg No. UFX 533R, Bajaj Boxer Red in Color that was being ridden by Musabe Pascal and a Pedestrian Female Adult, names not yet identified.
According to SP Nelson Tumushime, the police Spokesperson for Kasese, this tragic incident happened on Monday evening at Rugendabara, along Fort Portal – Kasese Road.
It’s alleged that the rider of the said Motorcycle was from Fortpotal side heading to Kasese and Collided with the Pedestrian who was crossing the Road, thereby causing the accident.
Serious injuries were noticed on the Pedestrian, Traffic officers responded immediately at the Scene, headed by the DPC Hima SP Bwire Nerima Suzan and the Victim was transported to Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Kasese Municipality for medical Care.
The Police in Kasese Continues to Encourage Motorists, Pedestrians to abide by Traffic Rules and Regulations as provided for by the Law, rest they will be arrested and prosecuted in Courts of Law.
