KANUNGU-Following the continuous load shedding in Kanungu district , Patience Kishaba Nkunda, the district woman member of parliament, has expressed her worry about the situation of power supply at Kambuga hospital due to absence of an emergency generator .
She revealed this yesterday on the floor of parliament saying that it’s so hurting to find a whole district hospital with no immediate power supply in case of absence of electricity which has led to loss of lives especially those on operation .
She also revealed that the minister of health Jane Ruth Aceng recently visited the hospital but she has kept a deaf ear on filling the problems the health team saw in the hospital.
She has therefore asked deputy speaker of parliament Rt hon Annitah Annet Among to help them as the district and direct the ministry of health to allocate funds to purchase a new hospital emergency generator to save lives of pregnant mothers undergoing operation in case of power black out.
Kishaba says according to the research she made the hospital has so far spent 37 millions repairing the old generator which is so expensive and the hospital also lacks oxygen cylinder which puts peoples lives at risk hence calling for a rescue .
