RUKUNGIRI- Former Presidential candidate Gen. Henry Tumukunde has asked Parents to put more emphasis on Education of their children if they wish him a bright future.
In his speech at the fundraising ceremony of Revival Mission Church in Kakabada B Northern B ward in Western Division Rukungiri municipality, Tumukunde highlighted the impact of education stressing that it’s the only key a parent can give to their children to save their future.
Tumukunde who is now eyeing the Rukungiri Municipality Parliamentary seat was concerned that some parents are not interested in educating their children, something he said isn’t only dangerous to such a family but the community as a whole.
He supported the fundraising with 3 million shillings.
The head of development at Rukungiri Revival Mission Church Tumuranze John thanked the congregation for unwavering support towards the cause where they are raising funds for constructing a school building at their church.
Grace Micheal Okello, the rival mission Churches Bishop urged the congregation to inculcate into themselves a spirit of saving in preparation for their future and urged Christians to elect capable leaders come 2026 who will be able to deliver services.
