Edwinnie Mukamawenka floors 5 to win Kabale University’s 9th Guild presidential race

NEWS– Saturday, 12th October 2024 marked an exciting milestone at Kabale University as they held their Guild President elections.

The University electoral commission noted that the event doesn’t only empower students body but also shapes the future of the entire University.

They noted that the elections in the university intend to celebrate democracy in action, showcasing candidates who are ready to lead, inspire and advocate for their peers.
The Guild race had 6 contestants who vyied the Guild president seat.
The polls held on 12th October 2024 at the University grounds in Kabale municipality saw Edwinnie Mukamawenka emerge the winner with 1,011 votes beating the close opponent Jonathan Reid who garnered only 676 votes.

2.Jonathan Reid – 676 Votes
3.Buhungiro Andrew Tomson- 367 Votes
4.Timothy- 290 Votes
5.Wisdom- 129 Votes
