NEWS– The opposition National Unity Platform party Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine has condemned last week’s raid on their party headquarters and school of leadership by Joint security forces.

Bobi Wine sounded a strong condemnation message on 24th February 2025 at a press conference held at the National Unity Platform party headquarters in Kavuule.

According to Kyagulanyi “this criminal break-in noted that it was sanctioned by the regime and commanded by Museveni’s unhinged son Muhoozi saw State thugs vandalize our property, steal computers, cameras, documents, and over 40 million shillings in cash. They also disabled our security systems and took the hard drives containing our CCTV footage”.

Bobi Wine notes that this was not just an attack on NUP but an attack on every Ugandan who believes in change, freedom, and the right to organize without fear.

“Little wonder it was led by Muhoozi, a bloodthirsty coward hiding behind an X (Twitter) account and his father’s shadow”, he added.

He noted that they were pleasantly surprised when some of their abducted comrades re-appeared in the middle of the press conference, fresh from illegal military detention at CMI.

The released NUP included Alex Rwanyaga Rovans and Kayabula Eddie (members of our Elections Management Committee), Kinobe Rashid, Kiyemba Sharif, and Bongole Samson.

Bobi Wine echoed his voice to demand for the release of the rest such as Achileo Kivumbi, Mugumya Gaddafi, and Wakabi Grace, and as well the release of all political prisoners.

“To Ugandans watching, especially those on the sidelines—this is the time to stand up against the Museveni dictatorship. And to the international community, if you truly stand for democracy, hold Museveni and his armed thugs accountable.

To Museveni and your son, hear this: Your time is up! No amount of intimidation will stop the people’s march to freedom. When that day comes, neither your guns nor your propaganda will save you from the judgment of the people!” he sounded.
