KAMPALA– Hon. Onapito Ekomoloit died on Friday 27th September 2024 and from reliable sources he succumbed to cancer.
Ekomoloit who was a renowned celebrated journalist joined the presidency office in 2001 as a press secretary working with the likes of the late Tamale Mirundi Snr and Hon. Ameria Kyambadde.
After leaving the president’s office, Hon. Okolomoit walked to the corporate world where he worked with the Nile breweries.
The news of Okolomoit’s death came as a shock and was comfimed by his close friends who include Mike Mukula and Mrs. Margaret Muhanga.
Okolomoit’s death brings the death toll of former presidential press secretaries to two in just one year following the demise of Joseph Tamale Mirundi Snr.
