Police in Kitagwenda district are investigating a 27-year-old man who reported himself to authorities in Kitagwenda district a fortnight ago claiming that he was kidnapped by Allied Democratic Forces Rebels in 2015.
Addressing the press today morning ,Nicholas Kamukama Keine the RDC Kitagwenda district revealed that the suspect is Matsiko Farouk a resident of Kafunda cell in Ibanda municipality Ibanda district.
The suspect claims to have been kidnapped together with 5 others in 2015 by ADF at River Nyamwamba in Kasese and taken to Kilembe highlands of Mt.Rwenzori into DRC from where he was trained.
According to the RDC Kamukama , Farouk has been in custody for three weeks now and as security they are still skeptical of whether to release him or not.
He however said that as security they have subjected the matter to intelligence.
