ASP Clive Nsiima has had his charges read at City Hall Magistrates Court following an incident in which he was caught on camera allegedly assaulting a petrol station attendant in Kyanja.

ASP Clive Nsiima has been remanded to Luzira Prison after pleading not guilty to two charges, malicious damage to property and assault.

“ASP Clive Nsiima has been charged with assault and malicious damage to property after damaging the victim’s smartphone (an Infinix)”.

His lawyer says the two parties have since reached a reconciliation. He has been remanded until October 16, 2025 when his bail application will be heard.

Earlier in the day, spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke had confirmed that ASP Clive Nsima is appearing before the KCCA court today following a viral video of an assault at Shell Select Kyanja.

Authorities reiterated that any change to the complainant’s testimony is a matter for the courts to decide, not the police.
