Students urged to incorporate discipline with academics to succeed

Over 10 million Ugandan shillings was successfully raised as St. Peters Vocational School in Kihumuro celebrated St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Day for the completion of school buildings.

The event was held in partnership with Kihumuro Catholic Church in Nyakibale Parish.

During the Mass, Rev. Fr. Ndyomugabe Balthazar, the priest of Nyakibale Parish and Chaplain of Nyakibale Hospital, expressed gratitude for the large turnout and emphasized the importance of education.

He encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith and to support educational initiatives, mirroring the dedication of Saints Peter and Paul.

Hon. Elnest Katara Ngabirano, the guest of honor and contesting MP for the Rubabo constituency, praised parents for their commitment to education. He reiterated that discipline and education are essential for success and commended the church and school administration for their efforts in promoting education.

Byaruhanga Innocent, Headteacher of St. Peters Vocational School Kihumuro, expressed his gratitude to all supporters of the fundraising initiative. He stressed the importance of community support in leading the school toward excellence.

Akatwijuka Onesmus, the Head Prefect, also thanked the administration and the community for their support and highlighted the students’ discipline and cooperation as key factors in the school’s prosperity.
