The territorial police of Rukungiri are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 56 years old
The deceased is Gaudesia Bahangirire a resident of Rwamarengye village Rwamugoma parish Ruhinda sub county Rukungiri district.
Kigezi region police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate told journalists that the deceased has been a caretaker at the home of one Murumba Maria,
According to Maate on the Monday 15/05/2023 at a round 07:00pm, she was seen at Katugunda trading center (kikona stage) where she mentioned before that she had gone to buy egg plants.
Maate adds towards 08:00pm, she was seen leaving the trading center with out the eggplants and later found seated at an appropriate distance of about 300m on the murram road from Kikona stage towards Omukagashe trading center by one Gilbert a boda Rider.
On Tuesday 16/05/2023 at around 07:00am, by passer’s, found her lifeless body alongside the road.
Alerted the area chairperson one Tiberondwa Sharif who reported to Ruhinda police station.
Crime scene visited, examined and documented and body conveyed to Rwakabengo health centre III mortuary for postmortem.
Police calls upon any one who could be having information pertaining her death, to volunteer it to Police so that perpetrators are brought to book.
