The territorial police of Rubanda are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 39 years old .
The deceased has been identified as Hamed Kacunda a bicycle mechanic resident of Rukore cell Muyanje ward Bubare town council Rubanda district.
Elly Maate kigezi region police spokesperson confirmed the incident to the journalists . Maate says ,It’s alleged that on 25/4/2023 at around 09:30am, the deceased left home Rukore cell for Bugongi trading center in Kabale municipality where he repairs bicycles.
Maate adds that at around 20:00 pm Hamed ‘s wife found him at his work place where he gave her money to buy food for supper ,She left him sited at the bar of one Sabiti at Bugongi trading center and continued home where she waited for him but in vein.
On Tuesday (26/04/2023) at about 0800am she got information that the deceased was lying dead by the road side at Kaziniro trading center Muyanje ward.
Mrs Florence Tumuramye reported at Bubare police station, a team of officers visited the scene, the body was found with deep cut wounds on the head and a broken leg. Postmortem was done by Police Surgeon SP Odulusi in the presence of OC CID Rubanda D/ASP Aine Bernice.
Police said no suspects were arrested but Inquiries are at hand.
