 In a heartfelt appeal to parents, Tumwebaze Ivan, the Guest of Honour at the 13th graduation ceremony of Tuja Victoria Memorial Nursery and Primary School, emphasized the vital role of parental care in nurturing future generations. The ceremony, which took place on 29th November ,2025 ,celebrated the transition of 84 students from nursery to primary education, highlighting the importance of the parent-student relationship in a child’s development.

During his address, Ivan underscored that love and care from parents are essential components in shaping children into responsible and accomplished individuals. “As parents, you have the unique opportunity to instill discipline and good morals,” he remarked, adding that this foundational support is paramount in assisting teachers as they guide children through their educational journey. His message resonated with the audience, many of whom nodded in agreement.

Ivan’s sentiments were echoed by Nduhura Simon, the school director, who expressed his gratitude to parents, teachers, and guests for their presence at the event. He noted that their attendance underscores a spirit of cooperation and community support. “It is imperative for parents to actively care for their children during this long holiday,” Simon advised. He encouraged parents to equip their children with practical skills and instill cultural values, thereby ensuring their overall well-being.

Simon also highlighted the importance of timely payment of school fees, stressing that early payments enable the school to plan effectively for its growth and operational needs. His call to action was met with nods of understanding from the parents in attendance.

Adding to the chorus, Headteacher Korugyendo Daphine expressed her heartfelt appreciation to parents for selecting Tuja Victoria as their educational institution. She emphasized that parents are key stakeholders in the learning process and must remain involved in their children’s education. Daphine urged parents to provide a supportive environment, particularly during the holiday period. “Children thrive when they feel loved and guided,” she said, reinforcing the message that a nurturing home environment is crucial for a child’s success.
